The Sacrament of Confirmation

It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."

-Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285

The Youth from St. Rose and St. Patrick deepening and enlivening their faith.

Each year the Confirmation students are required to attend an overnight retreat.  This year they attended for the first time the Steubenville Conference in Springfield, MO which was also opened up to any of the interested youth in the parish.

Comments from our youth:

 -- Everyone was welcoming --

 -- I felt like I belonged! --

-- It was eye opening and helped me appreciate my faith more --
