The Sacrament of Confirmation

It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."

-Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285

Confirmation classes for all Freshman in high school begin in the fall and follow the same schedule as our Parish School of Religion.  Please reach out to our Confirmation Director Ellen Johnson ( before the school year begins so we can register you/your child and keep you informed of any meetings and commitments needed in preparing for this sacrament.

The Youth from St. Rose and St. Patrick deepening and enlivening their faith.

Each year the Confirmation students are required to attend an overnight retreat.  In 2019, they attended for the Steubenville Conference in Springfield, MO the first time, which was also opened up to any of the interested youth in the parish.
